It works just as well as the all plastic spike but in many situations it is slightly less visible. The minimum order is 30 ft. Every order comes with a free "How to install" instructional CD.

Compared to the Defender 4™ above, it has an extra 2 rows of pins which fan out to protect much wider areas and is suitable for keeping pigeons off ledges that have a depth of up to 8 inches wide.  Product Specifications:
The product base is made from high quality, ultra violet light-stabilized polycarbonate (durolon polycarbonate resin product code HFV-1700). The length of each strip is approximately 337mm. Temperature resistance: no loss of mechanical strength at a temperature of 130°C. The protruding pins are manufactured form 304 grade stainless steel and have a tensile strength of 1600 N/mm. The length of each pin is 112mm and has a diameter of approximately 1.42mm. Angles and spacing of pins can be determined from the diagrams shown.

- 4 Rows of Wires
Unlike most other spikes available, our Defender 8 ™ Spikes have an extra two rows of wires that are cleverly angled outwards making landing impossible from whichever direction the pigeon might approach.
- Easily snapped into sections
Along the base of the spike are 9 breakable sections that can be simply snapped apart with your fingers.
- Patented Silicone Fixing Holes
Along the base are 10 star shaped holes; when the spikes are pressed onto a ledge the silicone oozes through the holes forming star shaped rivets that lock the spike firmly to the surface.
